Website UX Audit Checklist for Better Quality Enquiries

Make the first decision easy

A visitor needs to understand what you offer, who it helps, and where to go next. Review the first screen on a phone with someone unfamiliar with the business. Ask what they think the company does and which action they would take. Replace vague headlines with a concrete offer and keep the primary action visible without letting it compete with several unrelated buttons.

Put evidence beside important claims

Explain relevant work using the client problem, your contribution, and what can be shown accurately. If measured results are unavailable, describe the delivered workflow and responsibilities instead of inventing performance numbers. Link services to relevant work and helpful buying guides. Visitors should be able to investigate fit before being asked to complete a form.

Review forms as a conversation

Ask for the information needed to start a useful reply. Clearly label optional fields, use visible labels, and explain errors beside the affected input. Test keyboard navigation, mobile keyboards, and long messages. Preserve entered information if delivery fails. A success message should appear only after the server accepts the enquiry; include an alternative contact method if the service is unavailable.

Make motion support the task

Animation can help explain hierarchy and feedback, but it should not delay reading or clicking. Check reduced-motion preferences and make sure revealed content remains available when effects are disabled. Avoid hover-only information because touch users cannot rely on it. Review contrast, focus visibility, button spacing, text scaling, and whether a floating element covers the next action on a small screen.

Measure the whole enquiry journey

Review useful actions such as service exploration, form starts, successful submissions, and the quality of incoming enquiries. Confirm analytics follows your privacy choices and avoid recording private form content. A higher click count does not necessarily mean more suitable leads. Compare changes against a consistent baseline and inspect whether the sales team receives enough context to respond well.

Your discussion checklist

  • A clear offer and one primary next action
  • Accurate proof linked to relevant services
  • Short, labelled forms with reliable delivery feedback
  • Keyboard, mobile, contrast, and reduced-motion checks
  • Successful submissions and enquiry quality reviewed together
